Our next meeting will be in Oxford, UK from June 17-19, 2023. Details:
GETTING TO OXFORD
There are several options for getting to Oxford from London, whether you’re coming from Heathrow Airport, Gatwick Airport, or the city itself. Please visit the University of Oxford’s How to Get to Oxford page to find the best route for you.
HOTEL
Workshop attendees are responsible for booking their own accommodations (to be reimbursed by BAP travel claim). Please visit the Radiocarbon and Diet Conference page for a list of suggested hotels, colleges and B&Bs or try booking through UniversityRooms.com. Please note that according to SSHRC/UofA guidelines, reimbursement is limited to a standard single occupancy rate (with a private bathroom) in a business class hotel, or whatever class of available accommodation is the most reasonable or most efficient (such as a conference hotel which, while not necessarily the most economical, will avoid taxi and other ground transportation charges and offer a safe and efficient location for conference attendees).

FIELD TRIP
On Monday June 19 we will be going on an excursion to Marlborough Parish, home of the Avebury Stone Circle and Silbury Hill. The bus departs the St. Giles car park in Oxford at 9:30 and departs the Avebury National Trust car park at 17:00 (arriving in Oxford ~18:00). Workshop participants can explore both sites (the bus will stop at both sites or it is a ~20 minute walk), as well as the Alexander Keiller Museum and Avebury Manor & Gardens. At 13:15 we will meet for a group lunch at the Red Lion pub. All locations are marked on the workshop map (see below).
