This issue contains a number of interesting articles for our BAP team.

Thank you to Dr. Christian Leipe for sharing this great news! His message below:

Christian Leipe, Tengwen Long, Patrick Wertmann and Mayke Wagner have guest-edited this special issue launched as proceedings of an international workshop of the Bridging-Eurasia research initiative that took place at the German Archaeological Institute (DAI) in Berlin in February 2020.

Under the headline ‘Archaeology in Eurasia – Bridge Building to Natural Sciences’ the workshop, hosted by the DAI’s Eurasia Department, was attended by 30 junior and experienced senior scholars from Berlin, Hakodate, Irkutsk, Nagoya, Ningbo, Novosibirsk, Potsdam, Saint Petersburg, Sapporo, Taipei, Ulan-Ude, Vladivostok and Zürich specialised in the fields of archaeology and palaeoenvironmental sciences.

With its focus on palaeoenvironmental changes, human activities and subsistence strategies and their interrelationships in northern and eastern Eurasia the guest editors and authors hope that the included papers will also be of interest to the BAP community.

Congratulations to all guest-editors, especially our Christian Leipe and Mayke Wagner, and all authors!
