ROWLEY-CONWY Peter

Dr. Peter Rowley-Conwy is professor of environmental archaeology at Durham University in the UK. His main interests are hunter-gatherers and early farmers, and he is currently studying the transition from foraging to farming in Scandinavia, Britain, and the western Mediterranean. He is also examining how Terminal Palaeolithic and Mesolithic technologies were used to hunt the largest animals, aurochs and elk. An archaeologist by training, he uses zooarchaeology to elucidate hunting and agriculture.

As a member of the advisory board, Dr. Rowley-Conwy will provide BAP researchers with external strategic guidance about both the academic and administrative aspects of running the project.
