Great news coming in from Dr. Pavel Tarasov below: Mareike Schmidt, BHAP PhD student, successfully defended her Thesis and obtained her Doctoral Degree on July 17 at the Freie Universitaet Berlin. All five commission members were fascinated by the quality of her results and the oral presentation and evaluated her work with the designation "magna cum laude".
